Fundraising Instructions

Step by Step: Setting up a Personal Fundraising Page

For Cadets

STEP 1: PARENTAL PERMISSION

Download the Parental Permission Form, complete it, and have it signed. Scan it or take a picture of it to upload to your account.

Cadets 18 years of age and over may sign their own Parental Permission Form

If you have trouble uploading the form as a picture because the program says that it is too large, email it to 75challenge@Gocivilairpatrol.Org

Instructions on how to upload the completed form follows:

a.)  Login to your account. A #75for75Challenge fundraising account has already been created for you. Your account will use the primary email address that you have on file at CAP National HQ in eServices.

b.) Use the 'Forgot Password' link (see picture to the right). This will send an email to the fundraising site which will auto-generate a response email with your password. Note: If you do not see the email please check your spam and junk folders for the email.

c.) To complete Step 1, login to your account and upload your completed permission form.

STEP 2: BUILD YOUR FUNDRAISING PAGE

You will need:

  • Your Login Credentials (if you are not already logged in after uploading your completed parental permission form)
  • Your CAPID number (if you do not know your CAPID number go to the "View/Update Profile" option in the dropdown menu))
  • Your picture (NOT in a USAF uniform)
  1. Give your fundraising page an awesome title – Be creative
  2. Use your CAPID number as the 'Campaign ID' in the Fundraising Page URL for the fundraising page
  3. Establish your fundraising goal – Be realistic in setting this goal
  4. Upload your photo so your supporters can see you. The picture cannot be of you wearing a USAF uniform! We recommend the picture be of you in a CAP Activity T-shirt, a Unit T-shirt or a CAP Polo shirt.
  5. Complete your bio and write about your experience in the Civil Air Patrol and how it has personally benefited you. Explain how you think CAP can help other teenagers like yourself. Explain why you are raising this money for your home unit. Perhaps your unit needs new color guard equipment or new PT equipment.
  6. Don't forget to select save down at the bottom!
STEP 3: SHARE YOUR PAGE AND CHALLENGE FRIENDS

There are 2 main ways for you to share your page:

  • Use the 'Share My Page' screen to post to your social media or email to friends and family.
  • Download the business card for the #75for75Challenge, print, and fill in your fundraising goal and your #75for75Challenge ID Number at the end of the URL.
